Why we're collecting Letter of Intents (LOIs)

LOIs help us demonstrate to investors and partners:

  • Validated demand from credible organizations
  • Potential purchase volumes and deployment regions
  • Partnership opportunities across the value chain
  • Market readiness for a sustainable RUTF supply

This is non-binding—no obligation to purchase or fund. LOIs guide pilot capacity, validation, and logistics planning.

Fighting Global Malnutrition Through Canadian Innovation

Novel RUTF Solutions

Malnutrition, driven by poverty and war, is the reality for many families. Canada also generates safe, nutrient-rich surplus that often becomes food waste, creating emissions and billions in lost value each year. Lembas is developing Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) from this upcycled surplus—designed to meet the Codex RUTF guidelines and WHO/UNICEF standards—to support families and programs responding to famine and other malnutrition crises. Our aim sits at the intersection of child nutrition, reducing Canadian food loss, and lowering the carbon footprint per carton.
